How Does Pipe Bursting Work?
Although it is trenchless, pipe bursting does require two small access points at the entry of the sewer line and exit.
Through the entry access point, MVP Rooter will feed a heavy steel cable with a bursting cone attached to the line. It is connected to a pneumatic jack system that will break up the old damaged sewer line.
While the cable and bursting head are inserted into the line and break apart the sewer, it makes space for the new High-Density Polyethylene pipe (HDPE), which is fed into the space by our advanced pipe bursting equipment.

HDPE pipe is heated to a degree making it incredibly durable, yet flexible enough to feed into the sewer line. It is also seamless, making it ideal to guard against future root intrusion and cracks.

Pipe bursting can be performed quickly, in most cases within a day depending on the length of the sewer line. It is also an affordable solution as there is no removal of the old and damaged line. The existing sewer is left fully demolished in the ground and the new pipe is placed in its space.

It is also great for properties with concrete or heavy landscaping, such as commercial spaces, historic properties, and residential homes.
